Do you own a snowmobile and love getting after it? Do you find yourself deep in the backcountry pushing the limits of your skiing or snowboarding via motorized and touring hybrid access and are looking for a motorized access avalanche training course?
Empowering you to “Send It” further and safer in the Colorado backcountry, CAG has partnered with Powder Pro Lab to offer unique hybrid and motorized educational experiences for all levels (from beginners, to athletes and aspiring professionals).
Join Powder Pro Labs for a motorized/hybrid access AIARE 1 avalanche course. The course and curriculum will be delivered as a hybrid motorized/touring access model that will expand upon the learning outcomes as they relate to the various modes of travel. Utilizing additional key takeaways that are categorized for mechanized and non-mechanized, this format will aid in discussions and exercises that relate to specific learning outcomes for planning and traveling through avalanche terrain on both machines and human-powered equipment as a group.
Develop skills in group planning, creating achievable objectives and the fundamentals of accessing your favorite skiing or snowboarding lines and areas with the use of motorized equipment. Learn the components of ascending & descending with the facilitation of a snowmobile. Learn how to move your group and machines through the terrain with established trip plans that include moto specific areas, ski/ splitboard routes, designated safe zones for group check-ins and emergency situations.
This course is run and operated through Powder Pro Lab. Powder Pro Lab is an equal opportunity service provider operating by Special Use Permit in the San Isabel National Forest.
