A two-day overnight course focused on winter camping with advanced techniques to further develop your skills in the backcountry on your splitboard.
The Advanced Splitboard Course is designed to further develop your skills while traveling on your snowboard in the backcountry. Throughout the span of the course we will be covering various topics of which include but not limited too; advanced trip planning techniques, advanced route selection and terrain assessment, rescue techniques and scenarios, and emergency shelter construction. Students will have the opportunity to lead tours and gain experience through communication, group dynamics, and risk-management. The course is overnight and will span 2 days and 1 night in the backcountry.

Price: $600/person. 2 person min.

Advanced trip planning, terrain selection, and risk management
Navigation with a map and compass
Beacon drills. Single and multiple burial scenarios. (beacon, shovel, probe review)
Planning and execution of overnight winter camping
