Intermediate Mountain Bike Skills Course
For intermediate to advanced riders with prior mountain biking experience, this 2-day course focuses on honing and elevating mountain biking skills. In this course, the rider’s current riding level will be assessed, and instructors will teach skills that they deem important to elevating each participant’s riding ability. The skills taught will make you a more confident, comfortable, safer, and faster rider on the trail to make mountain biking a more fun experience. Additionally, we’ll introduce and practice new skills on-trail. The 2-day course may be held on any of the many trails in the Summit County trail systems.
In This Course Riders Will Learn, Practice, & Hone These Skills:
- Utilizing bike suspension to full potential
- Front & rear wheel lift
- High speed cornering
- Tight turns
- Drops
- Beginning jumping
- Basic on-trail maintenance
Itinerary
Day 1: We will focus on teaching and honing new and current skills. The day will be filled with more skills sessions than actual trail riding.
Day 2: Put your newly-learned skills to practice on one of Summit County’s many mountain bike trails.
Course Package Includes
- CAG professional mountain bike guide
- 5:1 maximum guide to student ratio
- Transportation from designated meeting place to the trailhead if needed
