Winter Backcountry Trips

Took the Level 1 AIARE course with Justin, Mikey and Nicholas. They were incredibly knowledgeable, but also kept the course fun and engaging! The class catered to all levels which made it feel very personalized with their 1-1 support. You're going to wish you signed up years ago!

We booked a full day guided split boarding tour. Justin was an amazing guide and found us some great backcountry conditions.

My wife and I have been out with them multiple times now after trying some other guide services. They are the best and have consistently put us on great snow.

We did a 2 hour snow shoe tour with Graham. It was a great experience and a fun way to take a break from skiing. Would recommend.

Kyle was a great guide on our 2 mile snow shoe adventure. He showed us great scenery and provided details on the peaks we could see from our hike. Our group of 3 had a great time! Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy the beautiful outdoors!

Had an amazing snowshoe hike with Kyle & Tammy. Both guides had great knowledge of the trail and took their time with the hike so we can adjust to the high altitude. We are coming from sea level and it was still an amazing experience. The equipment is brand new and the price is unbelievable! Strong suggestion!

My wife and I really enjoyed the AIARE 1 course we took through CAG. Knowledgeable instructors that made the experience a lot of fun. We feel much more confident in the backcountry after completing the course.

I'I booked an Intro to Backcountry course and my AIARE Level 1 through them too. The Intro to Backcountry course was so much fun, Sean was an informative and friendly guide that made sure we were learning backcountry skills through the course, not just following his lead. I'm really looking forward to my upcoming AIARE 1 class!

Took the 3 day AIARE 1 course with Justin and Sunshine as my instructors. Both Justin and Sunshine were organized, extremely knowledgeable and did a great job of conveying the course material in a logical, easy to understand manner, during the classroom portion. We toured with each guide for a day and they were both terrific in the field. .

I had a great time backcountry skiing with Dave Shuey from Colorado Adventure Guides! Dave is knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and an all-around great guide. He found some impressive powder for us in Vail Pass despite mediocre recent snowfalls. We managed to ski 4 nice powder runs in a full-day session. I'd highly recommend Dave and CAG!

My family of five had a great introductory rock climbing experience with Michael. Michael emphasized safety and got my teenage girls climbing up some rock walls. We had a great time!

I've been very impressed with CAG. I've taken an avalanche education course and used them for guiding a ski tour. They run a very professional operation, seem very skilled, and generally are just nice people. I'd recommend them highly.
