Our Hut-Based AIARE Level 1 Avalanche Course offers a unique backcountry learning experience with 3 days of classroom and on-snow field instruction in a clean, off-grid hut. Dinners and breakfasts are included, plus evening fireside chats with instructors.

Led by AIARE-certified instructors with deep local knowledge, this course teaches you to recognize, manage, and reduce avalanche risk in Colorado’s complex snowpack.

As an Ortovox Safety Academy partner, all students can use complimentary Ortovox gear (beacon, shovel, probe, and pack).
