Took an intro class to backcountry with Colorado Adventure Guides. I had three objectives getting in: learn some basics (gear, snowpack, techniques), stay safe, and have fun. Dave, our instructor, delivered on all three and provided us with a perfect (and socially-distanced) day on the snow. Thanks a lot!

Took the 3 day AIARE 1 course with Justin and Sunshine as my instructors. Kyle, in the office, was great and helped me with the registration process. Both Justin and Sunshine were organized, extremely knowledgeable and did a great job of conveying the course material in a logical, easy to understand manner, during the classroom portion. We toured with each guide for a day and they were both terrific in the field. I especially appreciated that they employed just the right combination of instruction mixed with allowing the students to do for themselves. Both were always available to answer any and all of the many questions we had. Most importantly, I feel as though CAG gave me the tools and base knowledge to gain more experience on my own and to become safer in the BC. I'm sure Ill be heading back to CAG for more education/ guiding in the near future. I couldnt be happier with my experience with CAG.

I had a fun and informative time on an AIARE 2 course in January 2020, digging into the famous Colorado snowpack, planning tours and considering far more elements than terrain choice alone. We also slept in a snow hole for a night which was a fantastic skill to add to the quiver of backcountry techniques. Cheers guys!

Took the AIARE I certification last weekend. Highly recommend it! The guides were incredibly knowledgable and helpful. The hut we went to was awesome and I can't recommend the hut version of the class enough for full emersion into the vast amount of material you'll cover.

I just got done taking their level 1 Avalanche course. I would highly recommend this course to anybody who recreates in the back-country during winter time. It was extremely evident from the very first day that we had some very smart and experienced instructors that were able to teach to the class and not just the information. I honestly cant wait to take the level 2 course, and continue to increase my knowledge. Thanks Colorado Adventure Guides!!
