You can choose to take 1 of the 2 modules, or complete the course by taking both at a discounted rate. Module one focuses on map and compass navigation—reading topographic maps, understanding terrain, and making sound route-finding decisions in the field. Module two introduces digital navigation using platforms like CalTopo, including trip planning, GPS tracking, and managing offline maps.
